Chinese Food - Recipe for Tszyansu (Chzhatszyan northern sauce)


Tszyansu (Chzhatszyan northern sauce)

Ingredients: 2,5 liters of boiling water, 500 g soy sauce, 500 g sugar 350 g sherry or vermouth, 125 g crushed garlic, 75 g onion, 60 g ginger, star anise 60 grams, 60 grams cinnamon, 50 g salt 35 g of hot red pepper. Preparation: All flavors are tied in gauze and put in a deep crock. Pour in boiling water, add soy sauce, sugar, alcohol and garlic. Boil on slow fire until it felt strong aroma. Gradually red sauce becomes dark brown. Filter and store in a dark ad cold. Use a long time.
